The Triton Tour

Reserve the date for your tour by choosing the number of people who will take the tour with you. That takes you directly to the calendar to select your date.

Your tour starts at the Triton Center, on the courtyard level of the Student Services Center. You'll find us at the corner of Myers Drive and Rupertus Lane (map). Look for the Campus Tour banners.

Check in with us at the lobby desk or the welcome table in the courtyard.

Your tour will begin with an introduction in the Multipurpose Room, adjacent to our office.

• The walking tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.
• Tours are available Monday through Saturday, except for holidays.*
• Start times:
  • 10 a.m., most days, with additional times available during spring break and summer
• We recommend:
  • comfortable shoes
  • sunscreen (for beautiful weather)
  • umbrella or hat (for rainy days)

Our walking tours include some hills and steps, so plan accordingly.

The tour includes a detailed information session about admission requirements for freshmen and transfer students.

• Sessions are conducted by a UC San Diego Admissions Officer and covers:
  
  • admission requirements and application review process
  • college-system overview and information
  • financial aid and scholarship opportunities
• Lasts about 45 minutes

And if you or someone in your family needs special accommodations, please check the box on your reservation form. We'll then invite you to contact the Campus Tour Coordinator directly to discuss how we can help make your visit more enjoyable. Please allow at least two weeks before your visit so we may assist you.

* Note: When the university is closed for holiday observance on a Monday or Friday, tours will not be offered on the holiday, or on the Saturday preceding or following the holiday. These include standard holidays, plus special campus events such as the Sun God Festival in mid-May.

Our campus tours don't include visits to classrooms or residence halls. Take a virtual tour of typical residence hall rooms or on-campus apartments online. Or plan ahead and visit classes in session (PDF). You can visit classes in session during the regular academic year (September to June).
