What is transfer Friday?

TRANSFER FRIDAY is a half-day series of events on the UC San Diego campus designed to introduce transfer students to the exemplary opportunities available for the completion of their undergraduate education.

Transfer students and their families are invited to spend the morning at UC San Diego to learn more about our transfer programs and services, meet with department representatives, hear about transfer admission policies and procedures, and learn about invaluable internship opportunities available through UC San Diego. At noon, guests can take a walking  tour of our campus specifically for transfer students, led by a current undergraduate student.

• From Interstate 5, take the Genesee exit and go west.
• Turn left on North Torrey Pines Road
• Turn left on North Point Drive
• Go through 2 stop signs. Stop at the Visitor Information Booth for parking permit, information and directions. Parking is free on weekends.

• From Interstate 5, take the Gilman Drive exit.
• Turn left at the stop sign onto Gilman Drive. Continue until under the overpass, which brings you to the UCSD entrance
• Stop at the Visitors Information Booth on the right for parking permit, information and directions.

Parking for individuals and families

• The best place to park during summer is the Gilman Parking Structure (map) or lot 406 next to the parking structure.
• During the school year, we recommend that you park in lot P608/P604 (map). From this point, follow the signs to the Student Services Center, Multipurpose Room.
• On weekdays, stop at the Visitor's Information Booth at any of our campus entrances to purchase a parking pass(6$) and receive parking information.
