Icons of Dissent: The Global Resonance of Che, Marley, Tupac and Bin Laden

Associate Professor of History, Jeremy Prestholdt's research explores how Tupac has become a mythlike figure for multiple rebel factions around the world, with his post-Cold War sense of disillusionment, messages about systemic oppression and poverty.

These rainstorms are made of chicken wire and xylophone notes.

The new art installation, "Nimbus" in the Walt Disney Concert Hall is six clouds illuminated from within and containing 32 speakers that play music scored by Rand Steiger, Distinguished Professor of Music and 2015 Guggenheim Fellow.
