UC San Diego is excited to welcome Seventh College as the newest addition to our unique College System. The college's philosophy will focus on Interdisciplinary explorations of our changing planet. At Seventh College, students will develop skills for impactful, responsible engagement and will use this breadth of knowledge to augment their studies and offer real-world solutions.

Seventh College will begin enrolling first-year students for the fall 2020 term and will begin enrolling transfer students during the fall 2022 term. For more details, visit seventh.ucsd.edu.

• The UC Application is now open for editing! The submission period will be open November 1-30.
   
• When applying to UC San Diego, your students will be required to rank the UC San Diego colleges in order of preference. If offered admission, students will receive placement into one of our seven colleges based on this ranking. We hope you will encourage your students to learn more about each of the college through our new colleges website to help them in their ranking.

  • Each college is distinctive and has their own philosophy and GE requirements.

  • College assignment is not based on a student's major. Students can pursue any major at any college.

  • For transfer applicants from California Community Colleges, Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) clears lower division GE requirements for all colleges except Revelle.
