The average temperature in San Diego is 77° year-round. The city’s mild winters allow Tritons to get outside and feel the ocean breeze more than 300 days out of the year. From hiking at Torrey Pines and playing with recreational teams to studying on the beach or just going for a stroll in the mid-day sun, our students take advantage of San Diego’s Mediterranean climate all year round.

UC San Diego students never miss out on the culture and history in our great city. Our campus is just a short trolley-ride away from downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, and more city hotspots. The San Diego Symphony and Broadway San Diego provide thrilling concerts and stage shows throughout the year. And we’re also known for some of the best food in the nation.
